Dear Travel Providers and Partners,
Thank you for the past interests and bookings supplied to the SS THORFINN through your resources.
We truly appreciate your business and are constantly working to provide more service features satisfying ever widening fields of technical diving, along with top parameters to all recreational levels that continue to be our mainstay.
We’ve just come through a rough weather year with near endless chains of tropical storms delivering their extremes forming or passing this location. It’s been a thorough test of equipment aboard ship and dive tenders. We applied full resources to cope through the worst sessions while some operations went down or were seriously damaged around us.
Our services were somewhat limited at times, and we apologize for unexpected shortcomings to some patrons while continuing unbroken schedules throughout. Dives were seldom missed, but were occasionally delayed due dive motor hiccups from weather exposures. Most visitors expressed understandings, and we truly appreciate their accepting the conditions encountered through this recovery period.
With storm tracks easing, and milder NE trade winds ahead, we’ve fast regained former operating composures while adding additional new dive equipment. A large new oxygen generator with hugely increased quality outputs to meet every technical challenge or need, new boat motors, and other dive service refinements are adding capacity from heaviest tech to comfortable recreational diving profiles. Quick custom fills at on-deck blending stations will be a key feature of unlimited high pressure oxygen supplies to meet all party sizes and group requests. A photo of newly installed Oxy unit to forward compressor room is attached.
After completing new equipment service tests, a single all-inclusive price for Technical programs will feature an ’All You Can Eat’ basis of diving supply from within our ship’s capabilities. A single price covering any number of daily or weekly dives within each team’s desires/ approvals, with all available supplies from a wide assortment of cylinders, doubles with ISO manifolds and bands, unlimited air fills and enrichments of 32, 40, 50 and 95% oxygen. Distribution of these supplies will be in sequential order to booking requests.
Divers need only to bring personal rigs and regulators for side-mounts, stages, and other extra gear additional to ship’s free supply of cylinders, Sofnolime, dive weights, and gas fills. Helium is optionally supplied by advance request. A full list of available ship’s cylinders, double manifolds, rebreather cylinders, ponies, and other related gear will be supplied on request with each booking. The new 7 dive day weekly packages on Saturday schedules will be USD $2,650.00, with daily extensions at $378/day. Alternate days or trip extensions are available as bookings permit. This new program begins with fresh bookings for tours starting March 26, on a 6 month trial basis to determine its continuing feasibility.
Single 80 cu ft (12ltr) dive cylinder users on current Sunrise Plan provisos will be reduced to USD $2,350/week. These are savings from currently reduced global fuels being passed on to valued diving clientele.
For exhibitors at Y2016 trade shows, a Show Ticket Special will be offered to all guests booked during Show hours consisting of $100 worth of free purchases while aboard during a following tour.
We’d appreciate hearing about any questionable aspects and /or provisos of these new Plans.
In closing we forward a New Year’s greeting to everyone at your side while wishing the very Best for a Prosperous 2016.
Lance and fine staff, of
SS THORFINN, a Big Ship dedicated to Serious Divers.!
